In the last century Portugal’s woodlands have grown by almost 80%, thanks, in part to the pulp and paper sector.
Portugal’s woodlands have grown by almost 80% over the last century, thanks in part to the pulp and paper industry. On top of this, the industry’s nurseries have produced an average of 13 million saplings each year and are still growing. Portugal actively develops and protects its forests, and paper products contribute to this goal.
